Made for the 12th official Brackeys Game Jam!

Story:

Welcome to Charington, a seemingly quiet town where the tranquility is shattered by a string of chilling murders. The elusive killer, known only as The Storm, has a twisted sense of justice, targeting those he deems harmful to the environment. Using letters to taunt law enforcement, he leaves chilling clues and a trail of dread as he carries out his dark crusade. As the lead detective, you must use every trick in your book to get to the bottom of this strange case.

Will you remain calm and uncover the identity of The Storm before he strikes again? Or will you become too frustrated as the crimes continue?

Key Features:

  • Office Space: Browse through documents, contact coworkers at the police department to help figure the cases out.
  • Interrogation Room: Interrogate people of interest to get a better understanding of the case and potentially find the killer.
  • Decision Making: You have to come to a final verdict eventually, where you can either get it right or wrong. Connect the dots as you race against time to save potential victims. How fast can you figure it out?
  • Atmospheric Graphics: Simple but immersive 2D graphics (thanks to AI, not me).
  • Variable Game Length: You can make your verdict and end the game whenever you want, but if you don't take your time, you will probably be wrong and more people will die (unless you are very lucky).

Controls:

  • Mouse: Interact with objects and characters (point and click)

The game was made in 4 days, and was quite rushed, so if you encounter problems then let me know. And yes this is just a reading/clicking simulator :].

Also, I recommend you to download the game instead of playing in the web browser but it is still possible to play it here.
